Our story

Behind the formula, there is a story.

My name is Salma G.C, and I have lived with lupus for 17 years. In that time, my skin has rarely stayed the same — dry, sensitive and always changing.

For years, I tried cream after cream — pharmacy products, products recommended by doctors, and others presented as premium.

Some promised comfort.Some promised repair.Some seemed to promise everything.

Yet my skin kept changing.

Little by little, I began looking more closely: at the ingredients, their origins, how they were prepared, and how they felt on my skin.

That curiosity became something practical. In time, I began developing my own formulation by hand, refining it until it felt right.

FAUNA & FLORA was born from that personal journey.

I didn’t choose between two worlds. I brought them together.

From the animal world, I selected pure, high-quality tallow as the animal-derived foundation of my formula. Prepared with care before blending, it brings richness and substance to the butter.

From the botanical world, I select oils and plant butters with close attention to their quality, purity and the balance they bring to my formulation.

The care behind the formula.

    Filtration

    Careful filtration is an important part of the preparation. It is slow, attentive work, done by hand and with precision, so that only what belongs in the formulation remains and the finished butter feels clean and refined.

    Respect for temperature

    Temperature is carefully monitored during the preparation of tallow and the melting of plant butters. Each stage is approached with patience and attention, as part of my personal formulation method.

    Whipped texture

    Once ready, the butter is whipped until soft and airy. It feels cushioning to the touch, spreads easily across skin and melts on contact with its warmth, leaving a comforting, supple feel.

I share the origins of my ingredients and the care behind their preparation. The precise proportions and the finer details of my method remain my personal know-how.
